I’m reading the book Inside Steve’s Brain and it was a surprising look into the mind of Steve Jobs – the man behind most, if not all of Apple Computers success. I didn’t know much about the man behind the company and was intrigued at his “genius simple” approach to technology and design. What really struck me was how he likes to avoid “feature creep”. Meaning not adding features to their products just because they CAN but rather only if there were absolutely NECESSARY to enhance the user experience.
I find this approach similar to our philosophy of Genius Simple website design. Avoid Feature Creep!!! Let’s not jam pack the homepage with so many bells an whistles just because we CAN but rather only if enhances the visitors experience and helps get the message across in the 2.3 seconds or less!
Brand well and prosper,
John
